Alienware M11X Laptop Screen Replacement

The Alienware M11X notebook laptop, tough and full of advanced computer technology is a reliable and durable laptop. However, like every other everyday use laptops it is susceptible to crack or break when accidentally dropped. I will show you how to replace an Alienware M11X defective laptop screen easily.

The Alienware M11X laptop comes with a slimline 11.6 inch LED widescreen display monitor with resolution of 1366 x 768. To replace the screen can be a daunting task for most people.

Alienware M11X Laptop with cracked screen
The first thing to do before replacing the screen of the Alienware M11X Laptop is to remove the battery. This is very important in all laptop repair process as failure to do this may cause the laptop to malfunction even more.





Use a flat screwdriver or any flat object to start pulling the screen front bezel as shown in the image on the left.










Continue to move the flat object between the screen back cover and the bezel to fully seperate them.










Close the laptop slightly as on the image on the right and with the aid of a flat screwdriver pull free the end of the plastic cover as shown on the image on the right.











You can now fully remove the plastic bezel carefully.











Remove the screw holding the screen to the backcover. Click on the image on the right to enlarge.











Pull the screen bracket carefully to free the screen fully.








Please the screen facedown and at this time the screen cable and part number will be visible. The Alienware M11X laptop comes with LP116WH2-TLC1, B116XW01 or LTN116AT02. Because the Alienware laptops are made by Dell the screen DP/N number will be ODWVMD or 0DWVMD.







Disconnect the screen cable but first remember to peel the clear tape holding it down.







At this point the screen removal process is complete. Do the same in reverse to install a new screen.

In this tutorial I will show you how to disassemble and replace broken laptop screens on Samsung NC110, NF110, NP-NC210, NS310, N350, N145 Plus, N150 Plus Netebooks. Before replacing a broken or defective screen of any Samsung laptop it is best to have the right replacement  with you. Below are links to some of them;

Samsung NC110 Nebook with cracked screen

Your Samsung  Samsung NC110, NF110, NP-NC210, NS310, N350, N145 Plus, N150 Plus laptop may may have some extra letters and numbers after it e.g. KA01UK, KA02UK, KA03UK, KA04UK, KA05UK etc. Note that the numbers will not affect the screen type in the laptop as they all come with the same type.

Samsung Battery Removed




The very first thing is to remove the battery from the Samsung netbook before starting the replacement. Removing the battery is a good practice as failure to do so may result in the laptop malfunctioning.






Remove Screw Covers






With a flat screwdriver remove the screwcover from the top and lower sides of the laptop bezel and keep them safely.











Remove the screws holding the plastic bezel to the laptop.












Put your fingers between the plastic bezel and the Samsung netbook screen and pull the bezel on all sides to release it from the catches. You can also use flat objects to successfully carry this out. This must be done carefully to avoid snapping the netbook bezel.



Pull Samsung NC210 Bezel








Also do this at the lower bezel area. Samsung NC110, NP-NC210, NS310, N145 Plus and N150 Plus netbook bezels are very thin and fragile. So be careful when pulling.










Removing the laptop bezel exposes the netbook screen itself. With the help of the image on the right remove the screws holding the screen to the laptop back cover.











Disconnect the camera cable to give good room for the screen removal.






Place the screen face-down on the keyboard area. At this point you will be able to see the back of the screen and its cables. At this point the screen part number will be visible.  The Samsung NP series netbook usually comes with screen part numbers  LP101WSB (LG Philips Make), N101L6-L0D (Made by Chi Mei), N101L6-L0C Rev C1 and C2, or B101AW06 (AU Optronics Make).



Remove Cable Connection







Disconnect the screen cable. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CONNECTION IS HELD DOWN WITH A CLEAR TAPE. Remove this tape first before carrying out the diconnection.



Remove Side Screw









Now use a presicion screwdriver to remove the side screws. Keep these screws seperately as they can be hard to find if any of them drops to the floor.







At this point the Samsung netbook screen removal process is complete. To install a new screen simply carry out the process in reverse order. Good luck!

Dell Vostro V13, V131, 3300, 3350 Laptop Screen Replacement


Have you dropped and cracked your Dell Vostro V13, V131, 3300 or 3350 laptop notebook or it is has simply gone blank or developed lines even though it works fine when connected to an external computer monitor? In this tutorial you will learn how to replace that broken, lined or black LCD screen on the Dell Vostro laptop.

The Dell Vostro 3350, 3300, V13 and V131 come with 13.3 inch (34cm) High Definition LED Display (1366 x 768 resolution) with anti-glare finish to it.

Remove Dell Vostro Battery




Before starting the screen repair make sure to remove the laptop battery to avoid further damage to the notebook.











Place your fingers between the screen and the plastic bezel and start pulling on all sides to remove the bezel.





Remove Dell Vostro Bezel




Removing the screen plastic bezel needs to be done very carefully to avoid snapping it.











After removing the bezel the internal part of the Dell Vostro screen will be visible.







Unscrew Side Screws





Remove the three screws on each sides holding the screen to the backcover and keep them aside.







Remove Vostro Camera Cable







Remove the connection to the laptop camera carfully. Use the image as a guide.







Back of Dell Vostro Screen


Place the screen facedown to reveal the back of the screen, cable connection and the screen monitor part number. The Dell Vostro V13, V131, 3300 and 3350 comes with either part number CLAA133WA01A, B133XW01 V.1, LTN133AT16 or LP133WH2-TLA2. The mentioned screens are 100% compatible and interchangeable.




Disconnect LED Cable





First peel up the clear-tape holding down the screen cable connection before disconnecting it as shown in the image.

At this point the screen removal process is complete.










The Dell Vostro V13, V131, 3300 and 3350 Laptop Screens are straight forward to replace. To install a new screen carry out the process in reverse.
