Remove the screwcovers covering all the screws. Keep these covers safely.
Use a precision screwdriver to remove all screw in the laptop screen bezel.
Put fingers between the plastic bezel and the Packard Bell laptop screen and pull the bezel on all sides to release it from the catches. Do this carefully to avoid snapping the screen bezel.
At the hinges area pull the put your fingers in the little space between the screen and the plastic bezel and this time pull upwards to remove the bezel totally. Use firm grip but do not pull too hard.
At the top two sides of the internal part unscrew the screws holding the side arms to the screen cover.
At the very top part of Packard Bell laptop screen disconnect the cable to the camera and remember to reconnect when fitting a new screen.
Remove all side screws and keep them safely. The trick is to move the screen slight towards you before unscrewing.
Place the LCD screen face-down and now you can see the whole back of the screen. You will also see the LED connection and cable. This area must be handled with care as damaging the cable will require you to replace it with a new one.
At the LED connection area peel up the clear tape holding down the screen cable connection as shown in the image.
After peeling the clear tape diconnect the cable carefully. Be careful not to pull too hard.

Below I am outlining solutions to the laptop screen defects you may have on your Packard Bell notebook;
Packard Bell Laptop screen Flickering
If your laptop screen is flickering it can be caused by two things. The display cable connected to the screen may be defective. Usually the display cable could develop a problem at the hinges area because of the regular use and the opening/closing of the laptop during use. This is why some people experience the flicker when the lid is moved. Replacing the cable will solve this problem.
The flickering of a laptop screen can also be as a result of the screen itself being defective. It is easier and advisable to change the laptop screen first and if this does not solve the flickering problem then go to the next step of replacing the display cable to the panel.
Packard Bell Screen Showing lines and colours
If the Packard Bell laptop screen is showing lining and colour in the whole or some part of the LCD then it could also be the cable or screen problem. The screen is more likely to to be defective to cause the defects. Use the instruction guide here to acquire a brand new screen and replace the broken one.
Packard Bell has lost its backlight and has gone black/dark
Some people have the problem of the screen simply black or blank and nothing shows eventhough the laptop is running. The first thing to do to solve this is hook the notebook up to an external monitor and if the windows is visible on the monitor then the screen would need replacing. If the windows does not appear then something else may be wrong with your laptop and my advise is to get a laptop technician look at it.
