Packard Bell Dot S Netbook With Broken Screen

Before starting the screen repair it is best to first order the replacement screen. This is not hard as the Packard Bell Dot S screen are only one type with part number of B101AW06 V.1.

First remove the battery from the netbook before starting the repair.

The Packard Bell Dot S S2 SE PAV80 Netbooks usually come with the information sticker in the battery enclosure area at the bottom of the laptop. This is revealed after the battery is removed.

Use a flat screwdriver to remove the plastic screw covers on the lower sides of the netbook plastic bezel.

Remove the two screws after removing the covers.

Remove the plastic bezel. The trick is to put your fingers between the screen and the bezel and pull on all sides.

In the internal part of the screen unscrew only the screws holding the screen to the bracket. Use the image on the right as a guide. Keep the screws safe.

At this point remove the camera cable and remember to put during the new screen installation.

Place the Packard Bell Dot S netbook screen face-down on the keyboard area. At this point you will be able to see the screen part number.

Peel up the clear tape holding down the screen cable connector and disconnect it from the port.

Congratulations! At this point you would have successfully removed the Packard Bell laptop screen. Install a new display panel by continuing the process in reverse.
