A broken laptop display doesn't have to mean disaster

It's a nightmare scenario. You've lent your beautiful new computer to your brother so he can finish an important essay, and he goes and drops it. There's a crack in your brand new, just out of the box Dell Inspiron laptop screen.

However, it might not be as bad as you think. After explaining to your careless sibling that he is never borrowing anything from you ever again no matter how badly his grades might suffer, take a closer look at the damage. Your laptop may not be completely written off. Cracked laptop screens always look bad but a broken display doesn't necessarily mean you'll need a new laptop.

A laptop's hard drive, motherboard, and all the bits and pieces that drive the computer are stashed away underneath the keyboard. If that part of the machine is undamaged you may simply have to replace the laptop display, not the whole thing. It's far cheaper and of course you won't have to go to the trouble of transferring licences, re-installing software, and copying all your photos, documents, and music from a backup –assuming you have a backup, that is.

It can be fairly easy to replace a Dell laptop screen. Any screen we sell comes with detailed, easy to follow instructions that will walk you through the process step by step until the new display is safely installed and working just as well as the original. If your screen is broken but the rest of the laptop is ok, you've come to the right place. Buying a replacement display could save you both time and money.
